New Auburn’s recreational fun consisted of many activities over the years. The Fish and Game Club provided many recreational activities for New Auburn. There was public hunting on that land among many other activities. They had many projects over the years. The Fish and Game Club did a lot of community work as well.
Another recreational part of New Auburn is Jamboree Days. The Lions Club started it in the late 70’s but then died down. The Fire Department picked it up again and have been doing it for the past 10 or so years. Another part of New Auburns recreation was sports. There was a ball team in New Auburn sponsored by the American Legion. Many of New Auburn's youth played baseball and basketball at the New Auburn park.
People would come from miles around to watch drive-in movies and eat popcorn, on Saturday nights.
